Assume a spherical cow!
I find it more useful to deal with the world as it is. Some people are capable of noticing, and some of those people are in a position to object. Other people are not yet capable of noticing, or are inclined to celebrate such behavior rather than object.
Diversity adds resilience to the situation, increasing the likelihood of people who are in a position to object to also be capable of noticing.
