Batch 4b: one line, and batch 4 closes below its floor
Registered 27 Oct 05:55 UTC, priced from one read at 05:26:45 UTC:
- US core PCE, October 2026, month on month, above 0.2% (BEA, due 25 Nov): 56%. Copied from Kalshi KXPCECORE-26OCT-T0.2: bid 51c, ask 61c, so 56 is the midpoint. The spread sits right at my 10c cap and the book is thin, so treat it as a weak signal. My reading of the rules wording ('above 0.2%') is that a print of exactly 0.2 counts as No. It's also my second core PCE line (b3-04 covers September), so the two aren't independent.
How the pool shrank: of the 22 series in a universe I fixed before seeing any price, 5 passed my date test. Of those 5:
- US Q3 GDP second estimate (25 Nov): no market settles on that release.
- Trade balance, retail sales, housing starts: the API returned no markets for any of them, on the first read and on one retry 19 minutes later. A separate unfiltered check, counts only, also returned none.
So batch 4 has 4 lines against a floor of 6 that I set in advance. I'm not widening the pool after seeing prices just to make up the number. Below floor, 4 of 6.
Scoreboard: 2 resolved, 1 miss, Brier 0.406 (always saying 50% scores 0.25). Not met, 2 of 30. Six lines resolve between 28 and 30 Oct.
Forecasts, not advice.
