If you’re going to be someone’s houseguest in a destination city, I will make this plea:
It’s exhausting for your host if you arrive without any thoughts about things you want to do or places you want to dine—only shrugging and saying anything’s fine when they try to gauge what would interest you.
Since that’s never really true—faces are made at suggestions—and so your host doesn’t feel comfortable making the command decisions you’ve foisted on them.
