This column by John Lorinc for Spacing captures my worries well. In my transit advocacy work I’ve met personally with Brad Bradford and Olivia Chow (and two dozen other municipal/provincial/federal politicians over the years), and what I’ve seen is him abandon things he believed, and to flail around to get attention, but not make allies or actually convince people to do stuff. That’s literally the job: make allies and convince people to do stuff. So seeing his bad judgement, and his bad choices of allies and staff, really gives me pause. He has so far convinced me that he would continue to flail and flip flop, and likely lose votes often.
