Black incarceration numbers.
Older estimates (1990s–early 2000s peak): U.S. Department of Justice/BJS reports from the late 1990s–early 2000s calculated ~28.5% for Black men (vs. ~16% for Hispanic men and ~4.4% for White men).
1981 birth cohort: Around 1 in 3 (~33%) had or were projected to experience imprisonment.
Recent numbers show incarceration at 1 in 5 blacks can expect to spend some time in prison.
Jails have been labeling blacks, arabs, & hispanics as white to lower the statistics of black crime.
