Not to be overly serious but yeah, this is a SIGNIFICANT driver when rural land and/or flyover country is cheaper with a lot of inequality already. E.g. we get a lot of people moving from California in my part of Texas who think we’re some right-wing Mecca, and then we have to listen to them complain about how much Spanish is spoken here and how the locals are disappointingly woke.
I find they’re more likely to move for perceived culture than for tax fear.
