"content": "Salt batteries move from hype to serious money. Sodium-ion batteries, which use abundant salt rather than lithium, copper and graphite, are starting to look like a real challenger for grid storage and commercial vehicles. Morgan Stanley estimates they could reach 20% of battery deployment by 2030 and trigger $800 billion in investment by 2035, thanks to lower costs, better cold-weather performance and fewer critical-mineral bottlenecks.
