This probably isn't WW3 doom preppers, but mainstream LDS self-reliance preppers. There's overlap, but they aren't quite the same.
Twice a year, the LDS Church holds a "General Conference" weekend, and the faithful watch it for two days. It's where the up and coming charismatic speakers get a few minutes to shine, the elder statesmen bang their traditional drums, hints of new doctrine are floated, and so forth. The Tabernacle Choir sings.
But there are commercials. And the commercials include preppers and food hoarders selling emergency water and food for your well-equipped LDS pantry.
