Sure, that is obvious, but the question was about micro signals or whatever you want to call them. And even in the situations you described, whether or not it's appropriate for a friendly chat to lead to "hey do you want to go have lunch together?" (etc.) is still contentious. (I.e. the chat is fine but turning it into a date attempt is annoying vs. showing initiative and moxie is hot.)
I wonder if it's this conflicted for conservatives?
