I’ve worn a poppy for #RemembranceDay since I was a teenager — never in a jingoistic or militaristic way, but in quiet remembrance, and as a moment each year to reflect more broadly on conflict and war. For the first time this year I’ve swapped for a white poppy, which does all this yet can’t be so easily misconstrued as nationalism. I have more if anyone local would like one.
