Speaking of No Kings, Meta shut down their main Instagram account on Nov 17. After getting a hammering backlash, they partially restored the account but did not permit any new postings for another three hours.
This of course is exactly what I'd expect from any Tech Bro site: that they will not allow their political opponents (Trump's opponents) to use their own resources against them. Zuck has definately kissed the Trump ring and today proves it.
This comes less than two months after Trump's thugs declared Autistici/Inventi to be a "specially designated foreign terrorist organization" causing their non-US bank to panic and block their funds.
It is clear that we cannot rely on any enemy owned resources, and our own resources must not have visible/targetable dependencies on enemy-owned resources such as the banks either.
Autistici/Inventi had many servers but apparently either the servers or the internet connections to them generated billing beyond what could be handled by individuals sending paper money orders or folded cash to pay off. A/I stated they did not want to deal with crypto. Much of that is enemy-owned too but harder and more labor-intensive to shut down.
We can learn from resistance groups in places like Palestine how to keep servers and news operations up with no regard for any enemy's sanctions.
