This is The Way.

These Bandai model kits are really, really well done. Loads of crisp fine detail for such small models, the individual pieces fit together really well, and the instructions are clear. Neither glue nor paint are required, and the only tools needed were a pair of side cutters and a pair of tweezers. This one took me about an hour, roughly half of which was applying the stickers for the windows, engine nozzle coloration, and faded stripes.

Of course if you want to you can go to town painting and weathering these kits, and a quick search on YouTube shows plenty of people doing just that, with impressive results. I reckon they look pretty decent stock though, and because they are push-fit not glued together you can always take them apart again if you decide to paint them later.
