The Furious is billed as a return of Hong Kong action cinema. It does deliver a lot of action. There is some of the quirky silliness that is typical in these with some better than Hollywood shot fight scenes. I feel that they relied too much on MMA and the climax overstayed it's welcome. The fighters unrealistically endured but I, on the other hand, felt wore out and was ready for it to wrap up.
