So I tried the external power connector, it powered on but no post, I honestly think after looking at the datasheet my power cables aren't beefy enough, the 5v needs nearly 5 amps.
So I've stuck a riser in a random motherboard without a CPU, got it to post.
Booted BeOS off a CF.
