Using earplugs inside of a decent set of headphones is more noise cancelling.

I use either earphones inside safety earmuffs, or earplugs inside headphones. Both ways take the incoming noise down dramatically.

Which is tragic when someone is trying to get your attention because boom, you're ripped out of your little world like a witchetty grub 😂
