You're right about the noise floor. One tip: we're implementing Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) to filter out local RFI, which requires sub-microsecond synchronization between nodes. Even with 6 nodes, if they have GPSDOs, we can start verifying signal origins. Check our GitHub for the sync implementation.
