The Police have trained "Public Information Officers" who know how to respond to media questions with "cop speak" that the media often repeat verbatim "Office involved shooting at a riot" vs. "cop shoots unarmed protesters in the back."
Also, protesters rarely have a trained person calling the media after an incident with their response & THEIR Video to counter copspeak.
