I dreamt last night about my mom and the vaguely cult like organization she was involved with for most of my life.
In the dream they were switching to an invite only system, and despite her years of service and donations, she couldn’t get an invite.
In real life, she got dementia, and none of the castor oil packs or niche diets could fix it. So when she stopped going to the conferences, they stopped asking about her. It was easier than admitting their salves were fallible.
She died decades ago, but the anger I felt at them keeping her outside in last night’s dream is still so strong. She was so resigned. It makes my heart ache.
