I wrote a longer response up-thread, but I think the harm-reduction mindset has to at least start by asking the question: "Was genAI needed or even effective at solving this problem? Is there a better existing (or researchable) tool for this job that genAI hype is burying? Are there non-computer-involving solutions that genAI is pushing out here?"

I think the city meetings transcript site fares poorly on these questions.
