When looking at processed radar data from Herwijnen, a piece of the rain shower just disappears. The radar cannot scan that area anymore, so it appears as "dry".
As there are other radars (Den Helder and in Germany), this gap can be filled somewhat with algorithms. But: as the trees grow, it will become a bigger problem.
