Gender thoughts have very little to do with self-reflection, in my opinion. That type of navel gazing is too focused on "what makes me feel good?" to support improvement and understanding. "What makes me feel good?" Is a band-aid, a short term, small scale solution. It WILL make you feel good when you answer that question, and that feeling can help you along in life, but it can also hinder you. Trap you in a solipsistic, hedonistic, and/or juvenile mindset.

"What makes me feel good" is a part of the self, and we all indulge in it or blow it out of proportion sometimes. That's normal. But you can't base your entire self around it. That's why gender thoughts are only faux reflective. They leave no room for other questions, or other people.
