TLDR; Fuck off if you're a keyboard anti-fascist-wannabe who has never had to run from the police through tear gas, and you're looking for a comfy Fediverse echo chamber.
First of all, thanks to everyone who publicly went out of their way to demonstrate that they're nowhere near mature enough to interact with this instance. There's a pretty good chance I've already blocked you.
It's no secret that, on ethical grounds, I absolutely despise projects like Omarchy, Xlibre, Hyprland, Ladybird, and the use of AI. And frankly, it's fucking depressing how many corners of the FOSS world are right now tangled up with anti-LGBTQIA+ attitudes, racism, and xenophobia.
That said, read this instance description again!. You're more than welcome to criticize the projects, the people behind them (no hate speech), and the companies involved as much as you like, but leave the people alone who happen to be trying them, especially when they're simply asking questions about the projects. Most of the time, they probably don't even know what all the fuss is about.
Despite my own opinions, I really like this instance because it provides a neutral space for exchanging BSD/Linux ideas in a civil manner. If your delicate ego can't handle that, you can always mute and/or block people instead of insulting them from your self-righteous moral high ground.
Thanks again, Stefano Marinelli (npub1ef5…gcpc), for your hard work, patience, and enthusiasm
