That’s certainly a perspective; it’s an absolutist one, though, and it’s one that I don’t think accurately captures the reality. I don’t have to go very far back in time to remember the way “real programmers” talked about PHP, for example, in similarly unpleasant tones… myself included.

If this is a bifurcation of the community along uncompromising lines, then so be it, but speaking for myself _my_ community can and does include people who both use and eschew the tech.
