An Open Letter To Quicken (And Aquiline Capital Partners): Fix Crypto (Bitcoin) Downloads
To The Leadership Of Quicken Inc. And Aquiline Capital Partners:
I'm a paying Quicken Classic customer, and I'm writing because Quicken still can't do something basic in 2026: download my Bitcoin transactions.
On October 12, I linked my Fidelity Investments and Charles Schwab accounts into Quicken Classic. My stocks came through fine. But my Fidelity Crypto account — my Bitcoin — never appeared.
There is no way to download crypto transactions from Fidelity into Quicken Classic.
On October 13, I opened support case #126-344-99. Your agent Paula has been working it. As of today, it's still unresolved: Fidelity crypto simply cannot be downloaded into Quicken Classic.
This is the part I want you to hear clearly. Bitcoin is not a toy or a side bet anymore. It is a legitimate asset class held by millions of Americans, including your customers.
When Quicken can't download it, my financial picture in Quicken is incomplete — and the whole point of Quicken is a complete picture.
Manual entry is not a solution; it's an admission that the product doesn't work.
Fidelity is one of the largest brokerages in the country, and its crypto offering is mainstream.
If Quicken can download my Fidelity stock trades, it should be able to download my Fidelity Bitcoin transactions.
The fact that it can't, years into the Bitcoin era, is a product gap — not a technical impossibility.
So Here's My Ask, Plainly:
Fix crypto transaction downloads in Quicken Classic — starting with Fidelity Investments.
Treat Bitcoin and crypto as first-class citizens in Quicken, the way you treat stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
Close support case #126-344-99 with a fix, not a workaround.
Your customers are tracking the future of money. Quicken should track it too.
