While we're doing art confessions. I tried out Krita for doing charcoal-type drawings back when i was trying to squeeze in a second picture for waifu's magazine (before he told me that just doing one pic was fine and he didn't want a gay october drawing in his september mag).

This was partly in the hopes I wouldn't have to buy real charcoal and make a massive mess every time I draw something. It was instead very painful since there's no real "blur" type tool that works convincingly in the same way it does with charcoal in real life. It just makes a very digital-looking shit-grey effect that only looks ok when the drawing is supposed to look digital and not "faking" traditional. So instead I would have to erase and redraw to the "right" (wrong) value. I have mixed feelings in general about the drawing but idk, first portrait in a while. If anyone has any tips about doing charcoal-esque digital art I would appreciate.
