When it comes to Nostr and scaling I am not sure it needs to scale like normal social media. I think people having a small set of relays where they only communicate with a close community is KEY to why I Nostr feels like the early days of the internet. People feel close and connected because we're not talking to a global audience in the same way you typically would on social media. On Nostr I see the same people frequently and I love that. I meet new people through other peoples networks who comment on posts or share things that get reposted by people I follow. This is beautiful. Rather than connecting with thousands of individuals I'll never see again, there's real value.

Nostr does need to scale but I think having smaller communities is my favourite thing about Nostr and I hope that never changes. We could enforce this with intelligent relay systems.

Traditional social media has become a farm for enagegment which runs on superficial dopamine or vicarious pleasure. You're interacting with a sea of strangers and bots you'll never see again and I don't like this. If I could just have a micro social media with my friends I would and Nostr offers that.

Apologies for how badly I've articulated myself, but hopefully you get the point
