Data Republican (small r) has gotten hold of a lot of DSA and company material, transcripts and recordings, and I'm finding it interesting in while it's color revolution territory, it's not the usual plan as I understand it.
Those were done or tried in small countries, with an easy focus on the capital city; too many countries are "one bomb" ones, take that out and most everything running it is gone.
The US isn't like that, and we're also seriously Federalized. So for example a Democratic governor or president can't _trivially_ deny me police protection because he doesn't control my elected sheriff or city police department.
On the other hand, while "there are no Blue states, only Blue cities" there _are_ lots of Blue cities. But besides TACO, Trump doesn't _have_ to play ball and invoke the Insurrection Act unless for example the DSA types starting _successfully_ raiding Red areas.
You decided to live in a Blue city; sucks to be you. And in the big picture Trump and JD Vance first and foremost have to avoid impeachment and conviction at about the same time. (The DSA types may not be able to see it, but the GOPe would _love_ to have an excuse to put that over the top.)
On the other hand, see previous posting on terror. Trump's also got a soft heart, and maybe he can be provoked by enough (semi-)innocents being killed, big enough riots, etc....
Dangerous times; the (((New Left))) has been working towards this since before I was born, although Jews aren't fairing so well in what it's become, are viewed as too white-adjacent especially after October 7th turned up the temperature.

A few notes on the details: it doesn't matter at all how the 2026 election goes unless it's a GOP landslide of a type we haven't had in I can't remember since after Reagan, except _maybe_ 1994 (backlash to Clinton, much as his first term as governor).
And probably not even then. At some level the Left is realizing it's losing some of its margins of cheating by the closing of the border, the sharp drop in legal immigration, weak but still there cheating clampdowns, etc.
"If This Goes On—" works for them too, they may not know until too late who's going to be the GOP 2028 nominee and sometime not-GOPe who might continue this work would be ... bad for them. See what they have to say about the SAVE act.
