I like to think that 100r has been working in this space for 10 ish years, and thriving too! if anything, I hope this can serve as an example that something like this can survive the booms and busts that have occurred in the past few years in computer science.
You already do some advocacy and build documentation and codebases in this space, reading this I have the feeling, that if you just keep going, at one point you might just look back and realize that you've been doing exactly that all along.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you're scared, don't be. Working in this space is more robust than it might seem, and possibly less taxing than you might fear, so .. go for it 🌻
