some truck drivers across Europe use lower powered ones in an attempt to fool GNSS based electronic tachograph recorders (used to check drivers aren't working over their safe hours) as those use GNSS for time reference

These aren't supposed to go much further than the truck, but are sometimes enough to cause havoc to GNSS based apps my employer uses for frontline staff (whilst not safety critical, they are part of the audit process to confirm care staff were at the location they are supposed to be at the allocated time)
