Arvo Toots. Today Mum said "we can't ask for a reassessment for your Dad because we'll get less, and it's designed to work against couples." And she's not wrong. But I understand why every evening she gets screechy, because Dad turns every situation into a difficulty.

He doesn't mean to. Sometimes his fixations are just ... hard to cope with. And sometimes it's the sheer physicality of dealing with a frail but still determined 87 year old ...toddler? So hard.

Today: care worker arrived to shower him (so at least once a week he's fully clean.) Dad was compliant today. Care worker mopped bathroom, stripped the sheets and made the bed.

Dad slept. Lunch. Then he went out for a big walk with his physio. Arvo tea He's been agitated again, but finally resting. We just have to get through dinner, and he may insist on another shower (arrrgh) and bed.
"Where's my thing? No the.. oh I can't ... Word head ... not going in..."
It's heartbreaking.
