I really appreciate how quickly the BCHNostr admin responded to the recent scam attempt.
After some users received private messages asking for their nsec key in exchange for fake BCH rewards, sir BCHreplyguy immediately added a warning banner at the top of the platform. Those account were simply impersonating BCHNostr admin to steal users' accounts.
The warning is already there. All we have to do is read it, stay alert, and never share our nsec with anyone.
Scammers can be found on any platform, not just BCHNostr. That's why it's important to slow down, ask questions when you're unsure, and avoid offers that seem too good to be true.
A big thank you to the BCHNostr team for putting user security first. Simple reminders like these can help protect many users from losing their accounts. 💚
