I'm going on a trip for ~2 weeks and I'm unsure what to do about my fountain pen.

My daily driver is a Pilot Custom 823. it's my workhorse and my favorite pen hands down. I also hear it's a good plane for airplane travel due to being able to shut off the valve.

My concern is that it's a pricey pen, and if it got lost or damaged during travel, I'd feel bad.

Alternatively, I have other pens in my collection. I really like the feel of the Lamy All Star, or the Twisbi Eco, and I wouldn't feel nearly as bad if they were damaged, but I will miss my regular pen, and I would worry about using the pen if it wasn't nib up during flight.

Thoughts?
