I was so scared to attend my first Toastmasters International public speaking meeting that as I looked for a spot to park my car outside the meeting building, I decided to not park and drove all the way back home.
The next week, I went back and FORCED my scared-ass self to park, walk to the building, take the elevator to the 5th floor, approach the meeting room's closed door, and – and this was the scariest part for me – actually turn the door knob and open the door.
