Dave Bacon likes to point out that if the whole universe is described by a single state vector in a high-dimensional Hilbert space (which is what most many-worlds proponents believe) then there is a *vast* orthogonal complement to that vector that describes things that do not happen to anyone in any “world”.
So it is definitely not true that “anything you can imagine happens to someone in some world”.
