A word of advice from a former Realtor… me
NEVER buy the nicest, or highest-appraised, home in a neighborhood.
Instead, buy the home that’s in the middle of the neighborhood’s value range, or better yet, one that’s below it.
You’ll have far more room for appreciation over time, & when it’s time to sell, your pool of potential buyers will be significantly larger.
Families will always pay a premium to live in a desirable neighborhood. That’s why it’s always better to own one of the more modest homes in a great area than the most expensive home on the block.
