I have been around for long enough to follow British politics for over 40 years, so I'm used to this behaviour. I am decades beyond being shocked or outraged by it. This is just rats being rats. Don't cry, just deploy more rat traps.
But I'm fascinated by the ecosystems which sustain such fake "journalism". These pile-ons require widespread collusion among media people & the wider public. Nick Robinson should be jeered on the streets, mocked by friends & family. But he isn't.
