I don't think Tim Russ gets enough credit for **defining** what it means to be a Vulcan in Star Trek.

Spock was *always* half-human and the various depictions usually lean into that even if it's just an inner conflict. He defined someone trying to navigate two worlds, neither is which was a true match.

Tuvok is a disciplined Vulcan who was so good being a Vulcan, he successfully infiltrated the Maquis and stayed on mission. There was no human half. There was no "we are still building backstory" like with T'Pol. He's just **Vulcan**.

Look at "Picard". Tuvok *smiling* was enough of a giveaway that he was a changeling.

Tim Russ' performance in Voyager (and Star Trek: Online) made that scene work. You might have even noticed it before Seven.

I don't hate the racist, passive aggressive Vulcan's from "Enterprise" or the more Spock-like Vulcan's from TNG. But Tim out-Vulcaned all of them. I haven't watched Discovery so I can't comment on their Vulcans.
