I see a lot of people placidly assuming we'll have fair elections in 2026 & 2028.
Or that elections will be suspended.
No, that would be too obvious -- and also not feed MAGA's need for shallow reinforcement of their "mandate".
In authoritarian regimes, the purpose of elections is PR for the ruling party, to be obtained by any means necessary.
We have to protect our elections.
