Why Washington Residents Aren't Flooding the Streets to Protest Trump (Politico)

Short answer.
Trump is itching for a protest so he's not going to get one. Nothing to see here, move along. Go fight crime in the crime-ridden red states.
A bit longer answer.
The National Guard have jobs and families in their own states. How long are they going to be willing to stand around and watch peaceful fellow citizens going about their business before they themselves start protesting the assignment to participate in a fake crisis?
