Riot Platforms buys 9.25% stake in Bitfarms following rejected takeover offer.
Bitcoin mining firm Bitfarms rejected Riot Platforms’ $950 million acquisition proposal to buy out all of the company’s outstanding stock.
However, Riot Platforms noted that it has successfully purchased a 9.25% stake in the firm, making it one of the largest shareholders.
