I’ve been learning and using stenographic / shorthand writing for more than a month now. And every time, every text, presents me with a challenge of how to lay out these abstract symbols so that they:

• express the sound / letters of the word
• look compact enough on paper
• do not introduce ambiguity in an already ambiguous and overloaded system

This is a challenge, much like some programming or math problems. So, even though I haven’t read the paper, I can testament to the effect!
