We thought the things that were fixed were settled law & the precedents would be respected by SCROTUS. SCROTUS even said so.
But then came Scalia, Roberts, Alito, Thomas Gorsuch, Kavanaugh & Barrett's Originalist Texturalist Catch 22; the Constitution is a living document when it suits Republicans, precedents are settled law when it suits them, & when they don't like something, they just make shite up.
