this is the #limenka difficulty adjustment algorithm specification
https://git.smesh.lol/limenka/blob/doc/difficulty-adjustment-algorithm.mdit is designed to make opportunistic mining and fast blocks unprofitable, reduces the response to increased hash rate slower than the recovery, so floods don't put the target out of reach of a minority of miners as much as happens with bitcoin's 2016 block adjustment. fast blocks cannot be as big, late blocks can be bigger. the reward and size limit are based on maintaining a block data rate ceiling. the witness discount is removed, it is anyway not consensus, it's a block template rule that anyone could already ignore, by default the block template generator in limenka will price all bits the same.
another feature that isn't mentioned because it isn't consensus related, is that the mempool is deliberately promiscuous. the entire past history of the chain is full of coinbases and subsequent UTXO graph leaf transactions that are sovereign, and continue to exist and have validity on all chains. by making the mempools promiscuous, propagating valid, monetary transactions cross all of the bitcoins any transaction that happens on one chain crosses to others.
this was where deepsnek started the "hoes gonna get mad; the truth will spread". it is a central principle of my design that UTXOs are sovereign. the chains are just notaries. unless a fork enforces a chain identifier into the transaction they are valid on any chain.
the objective is to make all that hash power toothless to act as a regulator of the utxo set, as well as of the data accumulation rate of limenka. limenka cannot be stopped, bitcoin-blake2b can be stopped and the testnet already has been. and that's deliberate, malicious action on the part of sia miners, based on the block comment blobs, probably warming up for the live production mainnet of bitcoin-blake2b.
anyone who isn't thinking about this or is dismissing this as dooming, is either retarded or up to no good.
you will see.
limenka activates at 9am, NY time, 18th of october.
hoes gonna get mad. the truth will spread. the chaos is the fun.
