Darwin's original work was titled On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.
This is not evolution from a few molecules on a ball in space until it was co-opted by Huxley and his ilk. Besides, where did the elements come from to begin with and, if always present, where did the energy to move everything come from? I do not know but no theory and mechanism has stood up to date. Avoiding "honesty by censoring drawbacks" smells bad.
