I put out some grapes, then sat on the back steps, waiting, talking to the rock in my calmest groundhog voice. A few minutes later, he comes waddling over & starts to munch. I took so many pics & videos. I felt very privileged. Haven't seen him since Sep 2, a week later than last year. He's probably prepping his burrow where he can get below the frost line. We first saw him in May 2024, as a yearling, so this is his 3rd season. I hope he survives the winter & freeloads again next year!
