As Kenan Malik (Observer) argues, official indifference to the plight of normal people (as exhibited in the Post Office/Horizon scandal, the Windrush debacle, the infected blood scandal, the fire at Grenfell Tower, the treatment of carers by the DWP... the list goes on), is the result of an atomisation of society & the growing gap between our political class & its institutions and the lives of those impacted by their regulatory & political actions.
Its a collapse of civil society!
