Agreed, but excluding the DZ from the picture does not show how complex the situation in France has become.
Context: DZ mafia is a criminal organization from Marseille that uses methods closer to Naple’s Camorra or South American cartels. Extremely violent against others and within its own ranks. Reign of terror that reached my borders recently with executions in the street and habitants locked in their homes while gangs settle scores to control drug spots.

They are extremely active on social media, especially on Telegram. They operate via multiple channels, some to recruit soldiers by flashing drugs and riches, some to speak to prisoners via advocacy movements, and some to cause agitation via youth revolt movements.

Agitation seems to also come from the Police which seems to have been recorded infiltrating groups of protesters, breaking and causing havoc and then disappearing once the youngsters emulated them. At this stage, who is who is difficult to say, but agitators are involved.

Why do I bring in the colonialism? France has parked its colonial working class in housing projects that have quickly been abandoned to themselves. In the last 10 years that same class that has been segregated in these housing projects got squeezed economically all while the top benefited, and the middle stagnated. The DZ mafia is originally an Algerian organization and in the last years it fought hard to take control of zones the French government had abandoned.
