The thing is, Democrats didn't jump on the anti-trans bandwagon because they think it's good politics or will net them a bunch of votes. Even Republicans say it's a losing issue this year. They did it because it was easier than fixing their relationship with voters after 2024. They did it because they wanted to, because a lot of them are anti-abortion, anti-trans bigots.
