I was talking to someone about the problems of Airbnb in urban communities and how on a once council estate , now roughly 50/50 leaseholder/Subtenant or Council tenant. Leaseholders are renting flats out -1 bed for £2,300 a month excluding bills. How our own children can never afford to buy a home or rent more than a room, in their late 30s onward. Something has to give. Stop all Airbnb and introduce rent controls as well as creating truly affordable social rent homes
