If Blockchain's ideal case up until know is for financial fraud, I think I think we can see a parallel that up until know the ideal case for LLMs is for a type of intellectual fraud.
Bonus: For both when you point out the obvious problems you get:
* attack the messenger (you're just a <tech> critic, you're old, why are you so mean, etc.)
* faith based (hfsp, you'll see AGI soon!, etc.)
* generalize the exception ("This one person says/did <insert positive thing> so it must always be good”)
